About Don n Leonora Hand

Don n Leonora Hand HANDON ART-- Don Hand, Native Texan, a self taught artist, studies techniques from art books, watches artists on PBS-TV and YouTube. In 1970, Don relocated from Houston to Corpus Christi and in August hurricane Celia initiated us, "Welcome to Corpus." In 2002 joined the Corpus Christi Watercolor Society and entered Silver Cup Show, won first place with "Country Road". He did try one lesson with a member but was totally confused, and went back to his way of painting. Don has hunted and fished all his life and likes being outdoors, especially South Texas. His paintings depicts the subject matter which has been his life long passion, fishing, wildlife, and hunting. His work has improved with more emphasis on detail and continues being challenged to try different techniques. Trusting you enjoy his paintings, and photographs.
